The length of therapy looks different for everyone. Some people come in with a specific concern and feel better after just a few sessions, while others choose to continue for several months or longer to work on deeper patterns, gain ongoing support, or navigate life transitions. Together, we’ll discuss your goals and regularly check in to make sure therapy is meeting your needs. You’re always in control of how long you stay in therapy.
In the beginning, most people meet weekly to build consistency and momentum toward their goals. Early sessions focus on getting to know you, understanding what you’d like to work on, and creating a plan together. As you begin to make progress, sessions can often be spaced out (for example, every other week) to give you time to practice new skills while still having support. Therapy may include talking through challenges, exploring patterns, and learning strategies that help you feel more grounded and confident. Throughout the process, we’ll check in regularly to make sure therapy continues to meet your needs.
